The project is located in the wine cellar lobby of the Yinchuan Anmo Resort Hotel and forms part of the Turandot Hotel. Within this high-ceilinged lobby, this large-span, irregular-shaped steel spiral staircase winds its way upward, creating a striking architectural presence.
Commissioned by the client and designed by a renowned architect, the staircase draws
inspiration from a wine “corkscrew” and was brought to life by our team. Constructed entirely of
steel, the staircase stands nearly 13 meters tall and features a double-layer, four-run,
bidirectional box-girder design. The fluid, natural lines of the multi-curved side panels create a
unique artistic form within the overall space. Due to its massive scale, the client specifically
organized load testing for the staircase’s steel structure, which was successfully passed.
For this large-scale, irregularly shaped structure, we participated in and completed
the preliminary on-site survey, design drafting, rigorous stress analysis and calculations, as well
as standardized factory fabrication and precise on-site assembly, ensuring the successful completion
of this complex artistic staircase.
In addition to our involvement in the construction of the large-scale, multi-curved spiral art
staircase in the wine cellar lobby, we also undertook projects such as the circular main stage in
the lobby, the curved staircase in the atrium, 18 villa guest rooms within the hotel, and the
outdoor steel spiral staircase. From the initial design and factory fabrication to structural and
finish installation, we deployed a professional technical team of over 100 people. Through nearly a
year of round-the-clock effort, we gradually brought this series of complex structures to life.
