Harbin Poly — Steel Spiral Staircase
The atrium of the Harbin Poly International Sales Center — clean, spacious, white walls and pale marble throughout, with timber screen panels adding depth. A white spiral staircase set within a double-height atrium, built to anchor the space.


A fluid arc traces the spiral form — glass balustrades, stone treads, curves that soften the steel without hiding it. The continuous spiral rises through the atrium, its light profile sitting easily against the surrounding minimal interior.

The inner stringer is a steel box-beam, with a formed handrail integrated into the structure. Tread-to-stringer junctions are finished with edge trim. Concealed LED strips run beneath the treads, casting soft rings of light across the box beam surface. The chandelier, stringers, stone treads, and glass balustrades read together as a single visual system — transparency and refinement held in balance.
The spiral handles both circulation and the room. The cantilevered white form keeps the atrium floor clear; the continuous arc is what people remember when they leave.
