Recently, Tongrui Industrial was awarded the title of “Outstanding Management Team” for its exceptional performance on the steel-structured spiral staircase project at the Huawei flagship store on Binjiang Road in Tianjin. Project Manager Pan Hao was also honored with a certificate of recognition as an “Outstanding Individual” for his outstanding coordination and on-site management skills. These dual honors not only represent the client’s high recognition of the project’s achievements but also highlight Tongrui Industrial’s technical expertise and management capabilities in the field of staircase engineering for high-end commercial landmarks.
Located in the city’s core commercial district, the Huawei Flagship Store on Tianjin Binjiang Road serves as a key showcase for the brand’s technological innovation and design aesthetics, with its spatial structure demanding the highest standards of detail and visual presentation. The steel-structured spiral staircase undertaken by Tongrui Industrial is a central architectural feature of the flagship store; its design and construction quality directly influence the overall expression of the space’s technological and artistic appeal, making the project both highly challenging and closely scrutinized.
During the conceptual design phase, the Tongrui Industrial team achieved key technical breakthroughs by leveraging its professional expertise. Traditional steel spiral staircases, which must comply with national commercial staircase regulations requiring intermediate landing platforms, often suffer from industry-wide challenges such as height differences that disrupt the curve and compromise fluidity. This not only affects visual aesthetics but also makes it difficult to meet the design requirements of high-end commercial spaces. To solve this problem, the R&D team drew on 35 years of experience in steel staircase design, using 3D modeling technology to conduct hundreds of curve simulations and structural stress analyses, thereby innovatively optimizing the staircase’s step slope and curve curvature. While strictly adhering to safety regulations by incorporating the required intermediate landing, the team integrated the main staircase curve, the glass railing curve, and the curved ceiling below into a unified design. Through millimeter-level precision machining at their in-house manufacturing facility, they achieved seamless integration among all three elements. The resulting staircase shows no visible trace of the intermediate landing; instead, its smooth, unbroken spiral curve has become an iconic feature within the store, perfectly blending technological minimalism with artistic aesthetics.
The challenges during the construction phase were equally daunting. The Tianjin Binjiang Road commercial district experiences heavy foot traffic, and the construction site was constrained by limited space. Furthermore, the project involved cross-disciplinary work across multiple trades—including finishing, MEP, and fire protection—making it highly prone to workflow conflicts and schedule delays. To ensure engineering quality and meet the delivery timeline, the construction team, led by Project Manager Pan Hao, developed a specialized construction plan: they established a multi-trade coordination mechanism and held daily on-site coordination meetings to clarify the handover points between each work process; adopting staggered construction schedules and zone-based work modes to avoid peak periods of cross-interference; and forming an on-site quality supervision team to provide full-process on-site supervision of critical stages such as steel welding, component installation, and curve calibration.
Ultimately, despite overcoming multiple adverse factors, the team not only maintained strict control over engineering quality but also completed the project on schedule, earning high praise from the client.
“The Tongrui Industrial team used technological innovation to resolve design pain points in traditional staircases, delivering aesthetic results that exceeded expectations. At the same time, they ensured project progress and quality in a complex on-site environment, truly achieving a ‘harmonious blend of aesthetics and functionality,’” stated the client’s project manager at the awards ceremony. “The honors for [Outstanding Management Team] and [Outstanding Individual] are well-deserved.”
A representative from Tongrui Industrial stated: “The success of the Huawei Flagship Store project on Tianjin’s Binjiang Road represents a dual victory for the team’s technological innovation and meticulous management. Moving forward, we will continue to prioritize client needs, deepen our expertise in high-end commercial landmarks and boutique hotels, and embody our brand philosophy of ‘Crafting Staircases with Artistry’ through further technological breakthroughs and exemplary projects.” To date, Tongrui Industrial’s project portfolio spans more than 5,000 cities worldwide, and its customized solutions and one-stop service capabilities continue to earn the trust and recognition of clients globally.
