As a flagship project integrating wine and tourism at the eastern foot of the Helan Mountains, the Yinchuan Turandot Wilderness Luxury Hotel adopts “wild luxury aesthetics” as its core design philosophy, deeply blending natural textures with a high-end resort experience, thereby placing extremely high demands on the quality and design sensibility of architectural details. Leveraging its extensive experience in high-end hotel projects and outstanding technical innovation capabilities, Tongrui Industrial successfully secured the contract for the hotel’s core staircase engineering. The scope encompassed multiple critical components, including the central scenic staircase in the wine cellar lobby, guest room-specific staircases, and outdoor supporting staircases, playing a pivotal role in shaping the hotel’s spatial ambiance.

In this project, the massive, multi-curved steel spiral staircase in the Wine Cellar Lobby—with a span of nearly 13 meters—represented both the core technical challenge and the highlight of the entire project. Not only did this staircase need to meet structural stability requirements for a 13-meter vertical height, but its multi-curved design also posed a rigorous challenge to manufacturing precision—it had to showcase the fluid, aesthetic lines of a spiraling ascent while ensuring safe load-bearing performance across such a vast span. To overcome this technical challenge, Tongrui Industrial formed a dedicated R&D team. Through 3D modeling, they precisely simulated structural stress; they custom-fabricated core components using high-strength steel; and, leveraging the refined production system at their in-house manufacturing facility, they achieved component precision with errors controlled to the millimeter level. During the installation phase, the project team conducted multiple layout adjustments in response to on-site conditions. Through specialized processes such as segmented hoisting and precise assembly, the staircase was ultimately installed flawlessly, becoming the visual centerpiece of the wine cellar lobby. It not only complements the hotel’s rustic-chic and grand spatial style but also showcases the harmonious blend of mechanics and aesthetics inherent in steel-structured staircases.

In addition to the central feature staircase, Tongrui Industrial also successfully completed the customization and installation of 18 sets of spiral staircases for guest rooms and outdoor staircases for the hotel. To meet the requirements for privacy and design consistency in the guest rooms, the team adopted a customized design approach. While maintaining the dynamic form of the spiral staircases, they optimized the dimensions of the treads and the texture of the handrails to enhance guest comfort; For the outdoor staircases, the team fully considered the local climate conditions in Yinchuan, selecting weather-resistant steel and applying specialized anti-corrosion treatments to ensure both durability and aesthetic appeal in outdoor environments. From design conception and factory production to on-site installation and commissioning, Tongrui Industrial consistently adhered to its “global one-stop service” standards, collaborating efficiently with the hotel’s construction team to ensure the project was delivered on schedule and to a high standard.
